About Us

Primary Tree Care covers all aspects of tree surgery from small domestic work up to large-scale commercial jobs, including crane removals. Our years of experience has given us the ability to work to the highest industry standards, using a wide range of specialist kit and equipment in order achieve the desired outcome for our clients.

The team at Primary Tree Care is comprised of some of Dorset and Hampshire’s most skilled arborists, who have proudly achieved many years’ experience and expertise both on and off the ground. The team are all expertly-trained tree surgeons, capable of completing any arboricultural tasks to the highest industry standards, and where possible in accordance with BS3998.10. All our team members are trained to top industry requirements, covering a wide range of NPTC qualifications including, but not limited to; Ground and Aerial Operations and Use of Plant and Machinery (inclusive of chainsaws and woodchippers). Due to the ever-growing need for commercial awareness in health and safety, we also ensure that our team members hold the relevant CSCS and First Aid for Tree Workers certification. We are also qualified in professional ground and aerial inspections so you can rest assured that the advice you receive is founded on recognised industry certifications.

Health and safety is of the upmost importance, both in the industry and to us as a company, which is why we make sure we keep up to date with all new industry regulations and training courses. This enables us to ensure as safer working environment as possible for the Primary Tree Care team, our clients and the general public. For extra piece of mind, we are also fully insured.

"The team of tree surgeons ably led by Josh completed an amazing job of removing a very large Monterey Cypress, which was dangerous, and pruned a sweet chestnut all between the hours of 7.30 a.M, and 5.10 p.M.. They left the site completely clear of all lumber removed, tidied up and in a condition which gave no indication of their having been there. The job required use of a 100 ton mobile crane and large tractor unit with low loader ( to remove the main tree trunk). Both units were expertly used, and there was no damage to trees or plants around the site."

"It was a difficult job due to the height and size of the tree, approximately 30 metres. The branches had to be lowered in to one garden and passed back into neighbour's garden which had the access for a wood chipping vehicle. The work was carried out safely with minimal damage to either garden. The branches and arisings were all cleared away and the site left very tidy. Excellent work on a challenging job. Completed in a day and a half by three men. Other companies had estimated 3 days."
